In cooperation with the leading European manufacturer Atos Medical, we offer high-quality, ergonomic products for patients after laryngectomy or tracheostomy. The products are made in Sweden, but have been used all over the world since 1986. The range of products is very wide and every patient will find the most suitable for them - from tracheostomy cannulas and stoma care products, to implantable voice prostheses and electrolarynx, which will help to return speech skills after larynx resection.
At a time when we have the ability to speak ourselves, our larynx creates vibrations that we translate into sound and words by articulating our mouths, thus providing verbal communication. When the natural larynx is operated out, these natural vibrations are subtracted and we can recover the voice in three possible ways:
- Using esophageal speech - no aids are needed, the method can be learned in a long training session with a speech therapist;
- Using electrolarynx - it is necessary to purchase the device and adjust it together with a speech therapist;
- By implanting voice prothesis - prosthesis implantation is required, voice skills are restored with a speech therapist as needed;
